Client Overview
National Credentialing Solution (nCred) is an outsourced credentialing services provider that helps healthcare organizations manage complex operational workflows such as provider enrollment and insurance credentialing, facility privilege application processing, ongoing maintenance of provider credentialing files, and contracts management.
nCred’s cloud-based credentialing software platform is designed to provide complete transparency for clients through the nCred Portal—where provider credentialing files, application (case) information, document copies, and reports are available instantly. The portal serves as the client-facing hub that keeps stakeholders aligned, informed, and able to take action without unnecessary back-and-forth.
The Challenge
Maintaining and evolving a client portal in a regulated, workflow-heavy domain introduced three ongoing challenges:
-
A client portal that must remain reliable while evolving quickly
Clients rely on the portal for day-to-day visibility into credentialing progress and documentation. New features and enhancements had to be delivered without disrupting workflows, introducing regressions, or reducing confidence in the system. -
Keeping the portal aligned with Salesforce-driven operational data
The portal pulls core case and credentialing data from nCred’s internal Salesforce environment via APIs. Ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent data display—while handling edge cases, permission boundaries, and API constraints—was essential to maintaining transparency for clients. -
Deployments needed to be faster, safer, and more repeatable
The platform is written in Java and hosted on AWS. As feature work increased, nCred needed a streamlined deployment process that reduced manual steps, minimized downtime risk, and made it easier to ship improvements with confidence.
Our Solution
We partnered with nCred as an ongoing development and maintenance team for the client portal—delivering product enhancements, improving portal reliability, strengthening integrations with Salesforce, and streamlining deployment workflows in AWS.
Ongoing Portal Development and Feature Delivery
We maintained and extended the nCred client portal with new capabilities that improve transparency and self-serve client workflows. Our work focused on shipping production-ready features while keeping existing core functions stable for clients who depend on the portal daily.
Salesforce API Integration and Data-Driven Dashboards
We supported the portal’s integration layer that pulls operational data from nCred’s internal Salesforce environment via API. This enabled dashboards and case views that reflect up-to-date credentialing progress, key milestones, and structured case information—helping clients stay informed without waiting on manual updates.
Self-Serve Document Upload Workflows
We enhanced and maintained client-facing document upload capabilities so clients can submit required files directly through the portal. This reduced back-and-forth communication and helped centralize documentation in a way that supports credentialing operations and case processing.
Streamlined Java Auto-Deployment in AWS
To improve operational efficiency and release confidence, we helped streamline the Java application’s deployment process in AWS. By reducing manual steps and creating a more repeatable deployment workflow, the team can ship updates more reliably and respond faster to feature requests and fixes.
Results
-
A more capable and dependable client portal: nCred continues to add features and improvements while keeping critical workflows stable for clients.
-
Transparent, Salesforce-connected dashboards: clients can view case information and credentialing progress powered by data synced from nCred’s internal Salesforce platform.
-
Improved client self-service through document uploads: clients can submit required documentation directly in the portal, reducing operational friction.
-
Faster, more reliable deployments: streamlined AWS auto-deployment improved release consistency and reduced operational overhead for the Java platform.
Conclusion
nCred’s client portal is a core part of delivering transparent, high-trust credentialing services. By maintaining and evolving the portal, strengthening Salesforce API-driven dashboards, supporting self-serve document workflows, and streamlining Java deployments in AWS, we helped nCred continue scaling its platform while improving reliability and operational efficiency.
The result is a stronger client experience—where case progress, documents, and reports remain instantly accessible—backed by a maintainable system that can evolve alongside nCred’s growing service operations.
